How Do I Know Jesus Is Real? More Than a Feeling—It’s a Relationship, a Reality, and a Transforming TruthIt’s one of the most important questions anyone can ask: “How do I know Jesus is real?”This question is not just theological—it’s deeply personal. It comes from a place of searching, wondering, and often hurting. And if you’re asking it today, you’re not alone. Many believers, even long-time Christians, have asked this question in seasons of doubt or struggle. The Question Behind the Question Most people aren’t just asking for historical facts. They’re asking:Can I trust Jesus? Is He really who He said He is?Does He actually care about me?Can I experience Him personally? And the answer is yes. Here’s why I believe Jesus is real—and why you can too.1. History Says So Jesus of Nazareth is not a myth. He’s one of the most well-documented figures in ancient history. Roman historians, Jewish sources, and early Christian writings all affirm that Jesus lived, taught, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and that His followers believed He rose from the dead. The New Testament documents were written by eyewitnesses or close associates, and they were copied and preserved with remarkable accuracy. Even skeptical scholars agree that something happened in the first century that changed the world.2. Creation Reflects a Creator When I look at the beauty, order, and complexity of creation, it points me to something—or Someone—greater. The stars, the seasons, the intricacy of the human body… they all whisper that this world isn’t random.Jesus didn’t just claim to be a teacher—He claimed to be the Creator in human form. “Through Him all things were made” (John 1:3). The more I understand about creation, the more I see the fingerprints of a personal God—and Jesus reveals that God to us.3. Changed Lives Testify Throughout history, countless lives have been radically transformed by encountering Jesus. From drug addicts to atheists, from kings to prisoners, people from every background and culture have had their lives rewritten by Him.My own life is one of those stories.I’ve experienced healing, peace, and purpose that I couldn’t create on my own. Jesus didn’t just improve my life—He gave me a brand-new one. His love changed the way I see myself, others, and the world.4. The Bible Speaks to the Heart The Bible isn’t just a book—it’s alive. There have been times when I opened Scripture and felt like it was reading me—like the words were written just for what I was going through.Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice” (John 10:27). That voice is still speaking today—through His Word, through prayer, and through the Holy Spirit.5. You Can Experience Him, Too Jesus is not just a historical figure to admire—He’s a living Savior to know. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). He invites you to come close, to ask your questions, to bring your doubts. You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need a willing heart.“Jesus, if You’re real—show me. I want to know You, not just know about You. Help me to see, believe, and follow You.”That’s a prayer He always hears. In Conclusion So how do I know Jesus is real?Because history affirms Him. Because creation points to Him. Because lives (including mine) are changed by Him. Because His Word speaks with power. And because I’ve encountered His presence in ways I can’t explain—only experience. If you’re still searching, keep asking. Keep knocking. Jesus promises, “Seek, and you will find” (Matthew 7:7). And when you find Him, you’ll realize—He was seeking you all along.
To an English person, it will seem like simplified English, as a skeptical Cambridge friend of mine told me what Occidental is. The European languages are members of the same family. Their separate existence is a myth. For science, music, sport, etc, Europe uses the same vocabulary.
